Hmmm...

So this year christmas was a totaly different experience for me. This year I got to experience more the joy of giving, I mean I recieved totaly amazing things Buuutttt I got to suprise the ones I love with gifts they didnt expect. The other thing that got my mom and me really talking was that this year was going to be so amazing because jonah was really experiencing it for the first time. He could tell you what he liked and how he felt about it.
I love both of my nephews so much, but its so nice having jonah who you can talk with and who he can talk back . He is sooo much fun to be around to hear him talk to you about the most random things and be so excited about them. He brightens up my day with just one look, and hearing him say I Love You makes my heart melt. He has such a caring heart and such a kind personality, I couldnt ask for anything better in a nephew.

Sitting in the airport...

Well it has been quite a while since I last posted so I figured I'd do a quick update while sitting waiting for my flight to grande prairie.

While I am sitting here I am quite thankful that this is my only flight, there are many people sitting around me speaking about there troubles today. Theres a family whos been here 9 hours waiting for flights. Others who have been on many connecting flights all of which have been delayed for at least 3 hours or more. And as I sit here I am thankful that my 1 flight is only 20 mins delayed. Thats one thing I love about flying to GP, and that is its only a 59 min flight so 20 doesnt really hurt me. Yet it never fails that everytime I fly there is always a delay.

But other than my airport troubles not a lot has been going on. There was christmas, and during thats I got my Wii, which I have been wanting forever, and found out that most of my family was in on the suprise of me getting it! I also got tickets to an oilers game the day after my birthday which excited me greatly.

Chirstmas dinner was amazing and it was awesome spending it with my family, and it was nice having my dad (or the actor) there too.

Work is pretty much insane, I guess I didnt really think about the whole 2 job thing before i accepted both of them. I guess I didnt think much about having a life. I work pretty much everyday excpet the weekends.

Next big event in my life is my birthday. The big 1-8. I am lookin' forward to that!

Once in a decade

For the first time since I was 7 I have the stomach flu, and I hate it. I was always so happy to brag "oh I havent had that since I was seven" but now i gotta start it all again haha. Well I'm feeling better than I was yesterday so hopefully I can go back to work tomorrow!

FINALLYYY =)

As of Wednesday I finally have a job. It was not because of a shortage of opportunities that I didn't have one, Because it seems everywhere you look there is a "hiring now" sign. It took me so long because for 1 thing I was lazy, I'll be the first to admit it I had just completed 12 years of school (14 if you count kindergarten and playschool, and lemme tell you those were the hardest of them all), I had also just finished working at Camp for 2 months and I was glad to be able to do nothing all day. And another factor was that I was looking for a job that I would really enjoy. I didn't want to be working at the GAP or McDonald's just for the fun of it. So after much searching and a tad of procrastinating I am now an employee of Petersen Pontiac, Working minimal part time mostly Saturdays right now doing some reception, but at least it s a job. Now if that wasn't enough excitement as of today I do not only have one job I now have TWO!!! ha ha yes me Sarah Lytle 2 jobs, I'm pretty shocked myself. As of today I am also now working at the Royal Glenora Club doing.. take a guess? reception ha ha. I'm working there 2 days a week right now, and hopefully picking up more shifts in December. I am quite excited and looking forward to the new challenges I am sure to face with balancing the two, along with my other commitments and my motivation factor!

Time for an update maybe?

Well it has been forever, and I have no explanation for that, Haha. There certainly is not a lack of free time because thats pretty much all that I have. Well hmm.. lets think about what I can tell you.
Hmm.. well it has been almost 2 Months since I have gotten home from camp and not to much has happened since then. There is still no job in the picture, though im looking. Ive been developing a very close relationship with my digital cable, Thats kinda a sad thing but oh-well.

Theres no huuuugeee updates, I deffinatly has some ups & downs but its pretty muchh all been good, Ive visted some family. Took a trip to manitoba, saskachewan and drumhellar with Bree and my mom. Went to Grande Prairie for thanksgiving, and went back to camp for YC. Abby turned 1, and I saw the love of my life Justin Timberlake in concert.
Hopefully I'll keep up with this updating thing, but untill then I shall leave you with some pics from these past few months.

home sweet home

Well finally I'm back home, after 7 loooonnnng sleep deprived weeks. I miss camp so much but i'm so glad to be back and sleep in my own bed.
There was a lot of ups and downs this summer, and I will be sure to post pictures soon. But heres a quick summery.

Week 1 Staff training week

Week 2 Holiday camp 1 (ages 7-12) - everything went pretty well, there was just a lot of working out glitches in the program and getting used to everything..only one thing, we lost our lifegaurd the second day. it turned out he lost his certification almost a year earlier, but we got him and another staff member certified so we could have more kids in the pool and a time.

Week 3 Holiday camp 2 (same age) - Week of the sickness mulitple people with bronchitis, tonsilitis, strep throaght and I cought larengitis, and was put in "isolation" as I like to call it for 3 and a half days.. that ment no working. I had to give up my campers and it reallllyyy sucked. But I was glad to get the rest and be prepared for the rest of the summer, I also got caught up on a lot of my entertainment news Haha.

Week 4Holiday camp 3 (same age) - Probably one of the hardest weeks of my life. Everything was going good, except my direct deposit wasnt working, so I called to talk to my mom about that and found out that my grandmother had passed away, I knew the day was coming soon but it was so hard when it hit. But it was for the best and i was in the best place I could have been I had the most support I could ever want and It made it easier to get through.

Week 5 Teen Camp (13-16) - Best week of the summer, these campers taught me so much about life and helped me grow so much spiritualy and as a person. Some of these kids had gone through more than I could ever imgaine and it was amazing to get to spend a week with them and see the changes in them. Even though everyone was worried about what had happened last year with some sneaking out, nothing like that happend and everyone just really enjoyed themselves

Week 6- Moms and Kids ( I was with 5-6) - Pretty much a slack week, we were only with the kids for a few hours each day so it was just a good time to catch up on rest and relax, Oh and pracitce your mini golf game. I got a hole in one on the LAST hole, and for anyone who has mini golfed at pine lake, that is an accomplishment I think. Haha..

Week 7- Music Camp- For this I was a camper, It was a different experience. I decided that this was the last year I was going to go to camp even thought I technically have one more year left, And it was a perfect way to end it. There was sooooo much laughter and memories, with our amazing singing and danceing. It was a perfect way to end the summmer.

Now each summer our camp has a baseball game against the jewish camp across the lake.. and well we havent won in quite a few year... I would love to say that my amazing never-playing-before-baseball skills helped us win but sadly no.. the score was 30-1 for them. But it was so much fun.

And I'm Off...


Today is the day, I'm off to camp for 7 weeks. I can't believe the day is finally here. Its been a very busy few days of packing and saying goodbye, it's going to be hard to be away from everyone for this long!


The other night I got a phone call asking if I would like to come over and watch my nephews while beth and keith went out, and of course I said yes. I love spending time with those boys, Jonah was so good playing with me and showing me his toys, and sharing with his brother. And logan was adorable as always, I was so glad I got to spend that time with them before I went away. I'll miss you boys!


I hope no one forgets about me while I'm gone! Haha I'll post again as soon as I can.

well im back from europe. I had a super busy weekend, which didnt help my jetlag. So last night i went to bed at 5 30pm. woke up at 7 30pm and then went back to sleep at 9pm again. Finally i woke up this morning at 10 30am. Oh how i missed sleeep. Haha well i will post picturs asap!

Retakes&Countdown.

Since I wasnt happy with my first set of grad photo's i decided to get retakes, And I am so happy I did. I love them! I'm so excited for my pictures now!

These are the 4 that i've chosen, so hopefully i can order them soon and then i just have to wait for them to come!
On another note. I Leave for europe in 6 days now! On march 21st I leave edmonton at 11 20am and arrive in toronto at 5 50pm for a 2.5 hr lay over untill i depart for paris I arrive there at 8am the next day, which is really like Midnight here.. Should be interesting. I'm so excited!

well so far 17 hasnt been the best year for me, i've had a few ups and a whole bunch of downs but im looking past that and now starting to look towards the amazing future i have coming up.


This weekend is Winter Weekend at camp and im so pumped for that, To get to see everyone again i cant wait!


Theenn in only 34 days i'm off to europe!! I can't believe its only a month away, i haven't really loooked at the number of days lately so this is pretty exciting. I still havent really grasped the idea that im going to paris!


Then on the 13th-15th of may im going to a leadership conference with a group of my friends from the leadership program so thats a new experience and im really excited to get to meet new people and learn about some sweet leadership school stuff!


Finally May 31, 2007 Just 105 days away is my grad, the day i've been looking forward too since i started grade 7. I cant believe that its finally here. I've started planning, booking a limo, hair, make up and nail appointments and looking for the most important part my dress. As of right now im getting it custom made, but if i find one i adore, i was told i could get it. I'm super stressed out that everything wont go right, but i have faith that it will all turn out amazing!
